Denise L. Houston, LPC

About Me

I have worked in the field of trauma/loss, child abuse and neglect, natural disasters, and life transitions with clients across the life span for twenty five years. I enjoy collaborating with clients to create meaningful change in their lives, and in seeing and experiencing the world (and themselves) in a more empowered and hopeful way. I have enthusiastically and successfully utilized EMDR in my work since 2002.

Education & Experience

My undergraduate degree is from Kennesaw State University in Human Services, with a minor in Psychology. My graduate degree in Counseling Psychology is from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Atlanta, Ga. I have pursued specialized training in various topics throughout my career to enhance my skills in working with trauma and loss exposed clients across the life span.
