About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor, EMDRIA Approved Trainer, and trauma therapist specializing in PTSD, complex trauma, moral injury, grief, cumulative stress exposure, and relationship distress. My work is grounded in trauma informed, person centered care with a strong focus on helping people understand the “why” behind their experiences while building practical tools for healing and growth.

Before becoming a trauma psychotherapist, I spent years working in public safety and law enforcement. I began my career as an EMT and Paramedic before advancing into multiple leadership and specialty roles within fire service and emergency response. I later transitioned into law enforcement after earning my Ohio PEACE Officer certification and commission. Those experiences gave me firsthand understanding of trauma, crisis response, chronic stress, burnout, grief, and the emotional impact carried by those who serve others every day.

Today, I specialize in working with first responders, military personnel, veterans, healthcare professionals, and individuals navigating overwhelming life experiences. Through years of clinical practice, I have worked extensively with trauma survivors struggling with PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and cumulative stress exposure. I understand how repeated exposure to critical incidents and high stress environments can quietly impact the nervous system, relationships, identity, and overall functioning.

As an EMDRIA Approved Trainer affiliated with EMDR Cleveland, I provide EMDR Basic Training for clinicians seeking to deepen their trauma treatment skills. My teaching style blends accessible neuroscience, interpersonal neurobiology, real world clinical application, and hands on learning to help therapists move beyond memorizing a protocol and truly understand how to apply EMDR safely, ethically, and confidently in practice.

Whether I am working with clients or teaching clinicians, my goal remains the same. I strive to create a safe, non judgmental environment where people feel supported, understood, and empowered to move toward healing and resilience. I believe effective trauma work happens through connection, curiosity, practical understanding, and the ability to meet people where they are.

Specialties include trauma treatment, EMDR therapy, first responder mental health, military and veteran mental health, PTSD, complex trauma, moral injury, couples therapy, crisis response, and clinician training.
