Desmond Stern, MS, LCMHC
(He/They)
About Me
My name is Desmond Stern (he/they). I am an LGBTQIA+-identifying licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of New Hampshire, and an out-of-state telehealth provider for the state of Florida (https://flhealthsource.gov/telehealth/). I work with adults (ages 18+) who are seeking care to create lasting change and wellness. I believe that therapy is collaborative– we’ll work together to help you access your strengths and develop coping skills, find empowerment, and take authorship of your own story. I have a person-centered, feminist approach to therapy, am EMDR-trained, and use a toolbox pulled from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and my practice is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed. If you are looking for a warm, supportive, non-judgmental space to grow and heal, please reach out. I look forward to connecting with you.
Education & Experience
MS in clinical mental health counseling from Plymouth State University. I have been in practice since 2018, and licensed in 2021.
