About Me
Diana Salazar, LCSW-S, RPT-S, is the Clinical Director and owner of Sunshine State Counseling Center. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, and EMDR Consultant-in-Training. With extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, Diana specializes in trauma, anxiety, and emotional and relational challenges. She is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care while also mentoring and supervising developing clinicians. As a clinical leader, she is committed to creating a supportive environment where both clients and professionals can grow, heal, and reach their full potential.
Education & Experience
Master's on Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University, Registered Play Therapist, completed Gottman's method for couple's therapy level 1,2 and 3.
More than 12 years of experience working with children,
families and adults survivors of abuse and/or trauma. More than five years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health disorders.
