About Me

Dizzy (they/them), is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Canadian Certified Counsellor, Therapist, and The Program Director of Companion Planting Counselling, I am based on Lək̓ʷəŋən territory (Victoria, BC, Canada). As a trans, non-binary, and polyam queer person and professional, I understand the complexities of navigating intersecting identities. My goal is to create an inclusive space where every part of you is welcomed and supported. I combine my lived experience and professional training, and approach each session with empathy and openness. I am committed to exploring the unique challenges you face while I walk alongside you on your journey, where that may take you.

Education & Experience

Dizzy is qualified and skilled Registered Clinical counsellor (RCC), and Canadian Certified Counsellor. This means that Dizzy is certified to work both in BC, Canada Wide, and Internationally, feel free to ask them how this can been done. Dizzy also has a degree in Masters of Counselling (MC), and a bachelors degree in Child and Youth Care (BCYC).  Dizzy brings more than 10 years of experience working with children, youth, families, and adults both in Alberta and BC Canada. They have worked in group care, before and after-school care, in-school care (EA), community centres, shelters and counselling. Dizzy also completed their MC practicum with City University Counselling Clinic- Victoria location, which is a no cost counselling centre as an intern counsellor. This experience lays the foundation for the knowledge that Dizzy brings to create collaborative therapeutic relationships with diverse populations of all ages. Dizzy holds training in: -EMDR -Relationship/Couples Counselling: Gottman- level 1 The Institute for Relational Intimacy -Ethical Non Monogamy Training for Therapists The Cultural Somatics Institute -Somatic Therapy Through a Abolition Lens Training to sign off on gender affirming care in BC Canada for hormone and surgical readiness
