About Me
I currently work with Black, African American and other POC adults, many who identify as LGBTQIA+ and/or are engaged in nontraditional relationships, providing support with managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress and trauma, managing transition into adulthood (and college), and with improving challenging relationships.
Education & Experience
I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in 2012, and I completed my Masters degree at UCF (Go Knights!) in 2013. As a masters level Social Worker, I worked in Orlando, Florida (and in surrounding counties) as a Mental Health Targeted Case Manager and I later transitioned into my role as a clinician, providing in-home and community based therapy services to children and families who were involved in the Florida foster care system. I have also worked as a Mental Health Counselor in a residential setting providing individual, group and family counseling to at-risk youth and their families. In my most recent role before entering private practice full-time, I worked as a Juvenile Services Counselor providing mental health and substance abuse counseling to court involved youth in Leon County, Florida.
