About Me
Therapy and social work is kinda awkward (in a good way). Luckily, so am I.
My specialization is working with those who are ready to reclaim authentic confidence and clarity by transforming the pain of childhood, generational, or systemic trauma. I am best suited to collaborate with those looking for a relatable, attuned, challenging, and sometimes humorous approach. If you are looking for CBT/DBT, blank slate or neutral approaches, that's not me. This is a space that names displacement, poverty, supremacy, carcerality, and surveillance as distressing, rather than your human reaction as the problem.
I frequently work with survivors, advocates, attorneys, parents, healthcare professionals, protestors, social workers, and therapists who want a high level of relatability, direct communication, and confidentiality in their care.
Our work may look like on-going support through life's challenges, deconstructing supremacy culture, reprocessing traumatic experiences, and cultivating space to express yourself in ways that work for you. You WILL find relief and ways to maintain it because we will consider the whole you in your care.
We will move at a slow, intentional pace, making sure there is room to build trust. You need to be where you feel best because that's where you are most likely to succeed. Feel free to step away or come and go without strings or hard feelings.
As someone with extensive lived experience I am willing to offer this, when appropriate, as a way to normalize the human experience. It also means I know addressing trauma is mEsSy. Because my lived experience does not translate into being an expert on your situation or your only source of information, finding supportive resources will be part of our work. You do not have to carry the shame of what was done or how you survived. You are not what happened to you.
Outside of the office I can be found cherishing moments with chosen family and friends near and far. I also enjoy the art of writing, painting, Lolly Vegas, buying books to read 6-7 years later, and dad jokes.
There are excellent folks in the field, so work with someone you feel like you can trust. If you think I could be a match, send a message my way and let's chat.
