Eileen O’Neil, LCSW, PMH-C
Preferred Name: Eileen
About Me
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and EMDR Certified Therapist, I specialize in helping adults process and heal from experiences that continue to impact their present lives. I welcome new clients seeking EMDR therapy who are ready to move beyond feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by the past.
Many of the individuals I work with are navigating significant life transitions—becoming a new parent, experiencing relationship changes, advancing in demanding careers, or quietly carrying the emotional weight of past trauma. On the outside, they often appear capable and composed. On the inside, they may feel anxious, disconnected, emotionally exhausted, or trapped in patterns that no longer serve them. Often, they are the ones holding everything together for everyone else while neglecting their own needs.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe healing happens in a space that feels safe, supportive, and free of judgment. You don’t have to keep holding it all together here.
Education & Experience
I graduated in 2018 from Aurora University's Master of Social Work Program. During this time, I practiced skills through my internship at a large community mental health center, under skilled and licensed Social Workers and Professional Counselors. I continued to work here after graduation. Next, I spent time at a Crisis Center, evaluating, treating and assisting a diverse community through crisis, including talking to many people through the Suicide HotLine. This experience has shaped my practice in many ways. Next, I began to work with clients in various private practice settings, gaining invaluable skills and experiences working with children, adults and older adults- until I opened my own private practice where I am honored to walk alongside my clients. Since attaining my LCSW I have continued my education through Perinatal Mental Health training, as well as EMDR training.
