Elaine Mains, LMFT
About Me
Hi, I’m Elaine Mains, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a compassionate, authentic, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. I see therapy as the process of removing the weeds and rocks from the soil of your life. As we build a therapy relationship together, I want to be authentic in this process with you, since I’m asking you to do the same. Although we discuss some harder topics, I hope that you will also experience safety, normalcy, and a few laughs.
Education & Experience
In 2001, I graduated with my bachelors in science degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. I received my MA in Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of San Diego in 2005. I work with individuals, couples, teens, and children. I have experience working at Rady Children’s hospital and spending years living and working overseas. Especially because of my time overseas, I have a heart for and seek to understand cultural issues.
