Libby also has extensive experience working with families whose children face end-of-life situations. She is an expert in working with children ages 4-11 and their families. In addition to her child/family expertise, she is highly adept in her work with parents who have experienced birth trauma or loss. A Relational, Effective, and Systemic Approach to Healing: Libby’s clients can rely on her belief that children and parents are the experts in their lives. Viewing her role as a catalyst for greater connection, attachment, healing, and meaningful change, Libby approaches therapy through a relational, attachment, and family systems lens. As a Certified EMDR therapist and specialist in pediatric EMDR, she predominantly uses EMDR in her work with children and their families. Libby also relies on her training in synergetic play therapy, child-centered play therapy, and attachment training in her work with children and families. Libby also holds her values and ethics as a clinical social worker in very high regard. Recognizing the impact systems and institutions can have on children and families, she advocates for her clients as they navigate these systems.
