About Me

It’s an incredibly brave thing to reach out for help when you need it, and I’m proud of you for taking that step. As a person who uses her own lived experience with mental health and the search for identity, I can say with certainty that the best way through them is together. It is my passion to walk through those challenges hand in hand with teens and young adults who are open to the journey, no matter where they’re starting from. Reaching out for help is simply the first step!

Education & Experience

My experience includes working with adolescents and their families in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, crisis intervention and de-escalation, and development of LGBTQIA+ specific services in psychiatric care. I am EMDR Certified, and I also utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy approaches in order to best meet the needs of each individual client. I received my Master of Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (License No. 66010).

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I am a member of EMDRIA, the National Association of Social Workers, and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. I enjoy volunteering for causes involving the LGBTQIA+ community and animal welfare.
