About Me

Dr. Eve Merrill is a Psychologist located in Cedar Park, TX. Dr. Merrill supports children, teenagers, and adults who struggle to regulate their emotions and heal from trauma. Many of her younger clients face challenges in school because of ADHD or anxiety. Other clients find it difficult to connect in meaningful ways with others, whether that’s because of attachment issues, low esteem, or trauma. She also works with families who would like to build healthier patterns in their relationships. Dr. Merrill adapts her approach in therapy based on the age and developmental stage of her clients. For her adult clients, she combines cognitive behavioral approaches with EMDR to best help her clients heal. For younger clients, Dr. Merrill uses play therapy and family therapy in conjunction with EMDR to teach emotion regulation skills as well as relationship skills. Regardless of age, all her clients benefit from processing through past traumas or challenges to reach a deeper understanding of where they come from. She opens the door for clients to talk openly about how they’re doing and where they would like to grow.

Education & Experience

Dr. Merrill earned a PsyD from The Ferkauf School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She previously worked in inpatient hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient clinics across the country. From these former roles and her 20 years in the field, she has extensive experience working with a wide range of mental health challenges and is passionate about helping clients find lasting change in their lives..
