About Me
Many of the people who find their way to me are young adults or mid-life adults who have done a lot of surviving. They’re insightful. They function. But inside, something still feels heavy, reactive, or unresolved. Trauma, grief, racialized experiences, relationship wounds, or a long history of having to be “strong” have shaped how they move through the world. My work is rooted in EMDR and informed by Somatic Experiencing, with a deep respect for the nervous system and the wisdom of the body. I believe symptoms make sense. They are intelligent responses to past experiences, even when they show up in ways that feel confusing or frustrating now. Together, we slow things down and listen...to thoughts, emotions, sensations, and the subtle ways your system communicates what it has been holding. I have extensive experience working with complex trauma, racial trauma, grief and loss, and relational patterns that repeat despite our best efforts to “think our way out of them.” I approach this work with cultural humility, curiosity, and care, honoring the impact of culture, ancestry, identity, and lived experience. I strive to create a space where people of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds feel seen, respected, and safe enough to be fully themselves. In EMDR and somatic work, I don’t see my role as fixing you. I see it as walking alongside you. We explore how the past is still showing up in the present, how your nervous system learned to protect you, and how those strategies may no longer be serving you. Over time, we work toward helping your system gently release what it no longer needs to carry. I’m especially drawn to work that reconnects people with their inner wisdom. Learning your rhythms. Your strengths. Your roots. Your gifts. Understanding how your history lives in your body, and how to build more safety, choice, and capacity from the inside out. Not pushing pain away, but learning how to stand beside it...so it no longer has to run the show. Healing, to me, is not about erasing the past. It’s about integration. About helping your system trust the present. About making space for more ease, more clarity, and a deeper sense of self-belonging. If you’re looking for a therapist who brings both clinical skill and genuine presence and heart into our shared space...someone who honors your story and trusts your capacity to heal, I would be honored to do this work with you.
