Dr. Gloria Gilbert, Ph.D.
(she/her)
About Me
Dr. Gilbert is a psychologist in practice for over 25 years who specializes in the treatment of trauma. She operates from the belief that trauma is not just what happens to you, but what happens inside you. Hence, Dr. Gilbert treats significant “Big T” Trauma, as well as “little t” trauma, which includes the stress, anxiety, grief, powerlessness, hopelessness, and/or emptiness that we all may experience in our lives. By bringing healing to the root source of the trauma, we can re-connect with our authentic selves, accessing the sense of joy, peace, and love that we all are seeking. Dr. Gilbert integrates several therapies, including Eye-Movement Desensitization (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT), psychodrama techniques, and art therapy in her approach. She is an EMDR Approved Consultant, ETT Certified, IFS Informed, and Level I-trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Additionally, Dr. Gilbert is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS), and a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPPT). She leads support groups for women and men whose partners have betrayed them sexually, as well as groups for couples healing from infidelity or sex addiction. Lastly, she is licensed for telehealth in over 40 states.
