About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ball State University. My approach to therapy can be described with a quote from a mentor of mine. “If I can make a difference in one chapter of someone’s life story and help it have a better ending then that makes this career worthwhile.” I truly believe that if I can provide therapeutic support to children and adults it makes a world of difference. I utilize a trauma-focused and person-centered approach while remaining multiculturally aware. I like to focus on the strengths of my clients and utilize that to aid in their recovery journey. I also heavily rely on the incorporation of EMDR therapy to desensitize past traumas and rewrite the story. When people are living through trauma their main focus is on surviving. I hope to be able to help my clients get past their past and cultivate the conditions which allow them to thrive. I have professional experience with various mental disorders but focus on Anxiety/OCD and trauma related disorders. I also have professional experience and a passion for working with various eating disorders and LGBTQIA+ related issues.
Education & Experience
I have a Bachelor’s in Psychological Sciences and a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I worked at Community Behavioral Health Center during my undergraduate studies and before my graduate program helping children build life skills.
