About Me
I am passionate about working with those impacted by trauma and those who are trained in EMDR and learning to use it in their clinical work. I use a direct and honest approach interspersed with humor, compassionate confrontation, and an unwavering commitment to encouragement and hope.
Education & Experience
I have 30 years of individual, group, and couples counseling experience treating trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, career, and relationship issues. I served as Assistant Director for the 9/11 Mental Health program in New York City, providing counseling services to individuals affected by 9/11 and clinical supervision to staff; and I worked at the NYU Graduate School of Business as a Career Counselor Consultant; and I was the Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion & Trauma Informed Services at a large community mental health agency where I regularly provided training and consultation to staff and community members. I hold an EdM in Psychological Counseling and an MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. I am a NCC(#201141) and am licensed as an LPC (#3996) in CO, a LMHC (#011735) in NY, a LPCC (#11017) in CA, and an LPC (#91686) in TX.
