About Me

Heidi lives in Spokane, Washington with her husband and four children. She enjoys the outdoors, movies, reading, and volunteering in the community.

Education & Experience

Heidi graduated in 2010 from Gonzaga University with a Master's in Community Counseling. In 2014, Heidi became a fully licensed mental health counselor. Heidi owns a private practice called Hope Haven Counseling where the main services provided are for trauma, grief/loss, and traumatic grief. Heidi also teaches at Gonzaga University as a counselor educator in the graduate program. Heidi is now pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Capella University.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

Heidi is a member of EMDRIA, the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Washington Mental Health Counseling Association (WMHCA), and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. Heidi runs a free community support group for suicide loss survivors called SOLOS and also partners with a colleague to hold to free suicide loss survivor events each year in Spokane. Heidi also is actively involved in service work through her church including projects to support homeless families, refugees, and families facing food insecurity.
