About Me

I am a Lecturer of Psychiatry at Alexandria University and a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry and Medical Psychotherapy. I am the co-founder and medical director of Serenity-Alexandria Mental Health Clinic, a trauma-informed private mental health clinic offering multidisciplinary care. My clinical work focuses on adults with personality disorders, complex trauma, and psychosomatic disorders. I am trained in EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic approaches, and CBT.

MBBCh (Excellent with Honours) – Alexandria University, 2010. Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – American Board of Medical Psychotherapists, USA, 2015. MSc in Neurology and Psychiatry – Alexandria University, 2016. MD-PhD in Psychiatry – Alexandria University, 2023. Clinical training includes rotations in General Adult Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment (Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, UK, 2017-2020). Extensive training in EMDR, IFS, , DBT-PTSD, and other trauma-focused modalities. Lecturer of Psychiatry at Alexandria University since 2023.
