About Me
I’m dedicated to creating a sanctuary for my gifted yet sensitive clients. I specialize in cross-cultural/international students coaching, relationship problems, sex therapy, sexual identity concerns, sexuality education, depression, anxiety, and trauma treatment. My personal approach is warm, flexible and interactive. I also bring my multicultural perspectives into work. I have expertise in several therapeutic approaches and can work flexibly with you to figure out what works best. Some of the specific scientifically supported treatments in which I have expertise include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused, Mindfulness based, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sex therapy, Sexuality education, Psychoeducational, Life Coaching, Couples therapy, Family System and Spirituality. While my work as a therapist is my primary focus, I like to stay involved in teaching and training. To this end, I have facilitated numerous therapeutic groups in a variety of clinical and community based settings. I am also the founder of Ally Counseling and Therapy, where I teach and supervise emerging therapists. I welcome people of every ability, age, gender, national origin, race/ethnicity, religious affiliation, and sexual orientation.
