About Me

As an EMDR-trained, IFS-informed trauma therapist, I understand how hard it can be to believe that things can change, especially when the past has been shaping so much of your present. So many people come to therapy carrying pain, stress, or patterns that have been around for years, and it can take real courage to imagine something different.

My approach to therapy is compassionate, empowering, and direct. I believe in creating a space where you feel deeply supported, while also being gently encouraged to move toward the changes you want to make. Therapy with me is collaborative and honest, and I believe healing can be both meaningful and real.

I also believe there is room for humor along the way. Therapy is serious work, but it is still a journey, and sometimes a little lightness can make the process feel more approachable, more comfortable, and even a bit uplifting.

My hope is that you give yourself a chance with therapy so that you can begin to see yourself with more grace and compassion and trust that healing is something you are worthy of receiving…because you are!

Education & Experience

With over 25 years of clinical experience working with both teens and adults, I have dedicated much of my career to helping individuals navigate trauma, emotional distress, and complex life challenges. My areas of specialization include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD (CPTSD), attachment wounds, and the lasting impact of difficult or traumatic relationships.

Throughout my career, I have received extensive training and gained significant clinical experience working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, complex relationship dynamics, and longstanding patterns that affect emotional well-being and interpersonal functioning. My clinical background includes working with a diverse range of individuals, including first responders, high-profile professionals, high-performing individuals, and adolescents and college students navigating anxiety, eating disorders, and significant life transitions.

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, integrative, and tailored to the individual needs of each client. I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), parts work, and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients move beyond symptom management and address the underlying experiences, beliefs, and emotional patterns contributing to their current struggles.

I believe meaningful and lasting change comes from understanding not only what we are experiencing, but also how our past experiences have shaped the way we see ourselves, relate to others, and navigate the world. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative therapeutic environment where clients can process unresolved experiences, develop a stronger sense of self, and create meaningful, sustainable change in their lives.
