About Me

As a mental health counselor, I enjoy working with a diverse group of populations and helping them solve their problems, achieve their goals, and overcome life's hardships. Whether you are currently experiencing situational stressors or battling long-term problems, I am here to help. I offer an eclectic approach in order to ensure the most effective treatment plan is designed to meet your interests, goals, and strengths. With that being said, the following therapeutic modalities are utilized during the therapeutic process: cognitive–behavioral, mindfulness, relaxation training, psycho-educational counseling, psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, family systems, as well as humanistic/gestalt philosophies and techniques. Principles related to attachment are applied if warranted. I am also trained in EMDR therapy. Outside of work, I am a mother to a daughter born February 2020. I love to dance, do Zumba, and spend time with family and friends.

Education & Experience

I have a wide range of experience dating back to June 2011 and have treated symptoms of anxiety, depression, AD/HD, school related issues, self-esteem problems, bipolar mood swings, self-harm, social skills, assertiveness, abuse, trauma, impulsivity, attachment related issues, thought disturbances, and relationship problems. Life is unpredictable and often hard. Wanting help and knowing where to look are two different things. And in most cases, just recognizing that help is needed is often the most difficult step to take. Nonetheless, here you are. The therapeutic process can be both a difficult and rewarding experience; it requires a collaborative effort in many cases. The more effort put in, the more likely you are to succeed, and regardless of what life throws at you or how hard this journey gets, I am here to help you through this process. When you’re ready, please feel free to ask how I might be able to help you or those you love.
