About Me
I use mindfulness-based therapy methods and have training to help adults who have experienced recent trauma as well as childhood trauma especially sexual abuse; also, current issues with self-harm, dissociation, and suicidal thoughts. Education is part of the process of change and I hope to give you materials and information to help you through the healing process.
Education & Experience
I am certified in specialized evidence-based trauma therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Lifespan Integration (LI). I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dissociative Disorders and Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES). I have the Trauma Research Foundation’s Certificate in Trauma Stress Studies; Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault (UCASA) Sexual Assault Counselor training; Utah Association for Domestic Violence Treatment (UADVT) Pre-Service Survivor Training; and Crisis Response Training. I have volunteered on the Utah County Rape Crisis Team and at the Center for Women and Children in Crisis.
