About Me
All people are capable of change. With her firm beliefs in empowering others to make their own choices, Jaime emphasizes individual strengths and focuses on thought patterns to foster positive transformation. Jaime specializes in working with teens over the age of 15 and adults with dual-diagnosis (mental health and substance use disorders) and will also work with teens and adults that present a variety of different focus points including, though not limited to, anxiety, depression, grief, self-worth, women’s issues, PTSD and other trauma responses. Jaime is a huge advocate for trauma-responsive care and is trained in EMDR for trauma therapy. A variety of other modalities of treatment are used, including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, to best suit the needs of the person she is working with
Education & Experience
Jaime graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2019 with a Master of Social Work – Clinical Mental Health graduate degree. She holds a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor license. Employment history includes working for a county-funded non-profit correctional agency, providing SUD treatment within male prison system for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and providing trauma-responsive SUD treatment for women in a transitional residential treatment program.
