About Me

My name is Janel Reese and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I provide individual and group mental health counseling for adults through my private practice. I have worked extensively with veterans and active-duty service members through the Cheyenne VA and Cheyenne Vet Center, prior to starting my own practice. I can see people in person or through telehealth if needed. I have been trained in multiple modalities of therapy and am a certified EMDR therapist. My expertise is working with PTSD and trauma, but I also work with individuals that struggle with depression, personality disorders, schizophrenia, anxiety, bipolar, grief, substance abuse, adjustment issues, and life stress to name a few. In addition, I have multiple years of experience working with adults and kids with developmental disabilities. Building a trusting relationship and a safe place for one to share their story is my goal. I will work with you to help you identify your personal goals and we will together develop a plan on ways to work toward these goals. I believe we all have wisdom and strengths that we can use to create the life we want to live and my job is to help you recognize and tap into this.
