About Me
A bit about me: I’ve walked through my own experiences of past trauma, family dysfunction, and a cancer diagnosis. These parts of my story shape the empathy and understanding I bring to our sessions. I’ve been married to my wife for over 31 years, and outside of work I enjoy running, walking, camping, reading, and learning new things.
Education & Experience
I’ve spent over twenty-five years working in the field of addiction, supporting people and families through a wide range of challenges. My specialty areas include substance use and recovery (as well as supporting those who love someone with a substance use disorder), anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma. I see therapy as a place to make connections, feel safe, and have room to explore, express, and renew.
In our work together, I’ll meet you exactly where you are. We’ll look at patterns in your thoughts and behaviors, increase your awareness, and identify the changes that feel right and meaningful for you. I also believe it’s important to laugh and find moments of lightness, even while doing deep and sometimes difficult personal work.
