Janet Wills, LCPC, MA, NCC, CADC
Preferred Name: Janet
About Me
After 34 years of being a special education teacher, I retired to pursue a career in counseling. I enjoy working with all ages and have a passion for working with clients who have experienced trauma. I pursued additional training in sandtray therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I believe through education and trauma-informed techniques, clients can learn to manage their distressing symptoms and improve daily functioning. I have pursued additional training in domestic violence and am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
Education & Experience
I earned my MA in Counseling at National Louis University. I completed my internship at a Serenity House. I have recently opened up my own private practice after working with DCFS families for the previous three years.
