About Me

Hey! I'm Jayla, a registered clinical counsellor based out of Cranbrook, BC. I provide both in-person and virtual counselling across BC.

My goal as a counsellor to create an inclusive space where every part of you is welcomed and supported. I combine my lived experience and professional training, and approach each session with empathy and openness.

I take an integrative and you-led approach to counselling, exploring factors such as your internal world, systemic and social factors, as well as interpersonal relationships. If you are feeling ready to dive into your relationship with yourself and the world around you with curiosity, compassion, humour and potentially some gentle challenging, please reach out.

Feel free to reach out to me at jaylacounselling@gmail.com to arrange a free 15 minute consultation to see if I'd be the right fit for you.

Education & Experience

I have counselling and mental health experience working in a variety of settings such as my private practice, working with a non-profit focusing on abuse and domestic violence, operating a crisis line, and working for the government with children, teenagers and families. I have experience and training in a variety of modalities, and am happy to explore what would feel best for you. I have professional and lived experience working with CBT, DBT, art therapy, somatic work, EMDR and IFS.
I am more than happy to work with anyone, but have the most experience working with individuals who have experienced abuse and/or intimate partner violence, as well as individuals navigating living with neurodivergency.
