About Me
My approach to therapy is collaborative, honoring the experience of the individual as well as your family, cultural and social context. I draw from my training in EMDR, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psychodynamic theory and trauma-informed interventions. My work is grounded in a social justice framework and anti-oppression values. I strive to work with you in a compassionate, flexible and pragmatic way. My hope for you is to be able to envision a responsive, proactive approach to life in which you can roll with the ups and downs of life, and experience genuine happiness and purpose. I have 15+ years experience in the mental health field. I work with adult individuals, and have a particular interest in working with clients on trauma, as well as folks in BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. Outside of work, I enjoy walking/hiking in nature, meditation, reading and watching sci-fi TV shows. He also likes spending time with his human and animal friends and family.
