About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), Board Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC) and Certified Sex Therapist (CST). I have experience working with diverse populations, and as a gay man, my personal struggles with addiction inspired me to pursue a career in therapy to help our community develop healthier coping strategies. My personal experiences have helped develop a deeper understanding of the struggles and obstacles individuals encounter in the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as the areas where psychotherapy can be most impactful for the clients who walk through our door. As a therapist, it is important to be able to find a space where people feel welcome and supported. At Severance Therapy, clients are welcomed no matter their background, experiences, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status.
