About Me
I have been providing services to children, teens, and adults for over 20 years. My passion is watching my client's lives transform as they blossom into a strong, empowered individual. The success of my clients drives me to keep helping others overcome thier past traumatic experiences or life stressors. I enjoy using a wide variety of creative techniques including art, play, and animals in addition to talk therapy.
Education & Experience
I graduated with a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, with a clinical concentration in Children and Families. Since graduating, I have providing therapy and supervision in residential settings, a partial hospitalization program, and outpatient therapy practices. I have an extensive history working with adoloescents and adults- providing individual, group, and family therapy. In addition to EMDR, I provide trauma-informed practices, utilize dialectical behavioral therapy skills, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and traum-focused cogntive behavioral therapy.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I currenlty own and practice at Healing Hearts Counseling Center. I have been providing training and supervision to masters level interns since 2008. I also supervise master's level clinicians working towards achieving their LPC or LCSW.
