About Me
I believe healing happens when people feel deeply understood, supported, and equipped with practical tools for change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the understanding that our past experiences can continue to shape how we feel, respond, and relate; even when we know logically that we want things to be different.
I use EMDR and other evidence informed approaches to help clients process distressing experiences, reduce emotional reactivity, and develop a greater sense of confidence, connection, and emotional well-being. I enjoy supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, parenting stress, difficult life transitions, negative self-beliefs, and relationship challenges.
I have a particular interest in working with children and adults with ADHD, as well as parents who feel overwhelmed, triggered, or discouraged by the challenges occurring within their family. My work is informed by an integrative, whole-person perspective that considers the connection between emotional health, the nervous system, relationships, lifestyle, and overall well-being.
Above all, I strive to create a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where clients can better understand themselves, heal from painful experiences, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Education & Experience
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist with more than 20 years of experience supporting children, adults, parents, couples, and families. Throughout my career, I have worked in community-based, school-based, and private practice settings, giving me a broad understanding of the emotional, relational, developmental, and environmental factors that influence mental health.
My clinical experience includes working with trauma, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, parenting concerns, relationship difficulties, life transitions, negative self-beliefs, and ADHD. I have particular experience helping parents understand and shift the patterns that contribute to reactivity, disconnection, guilt, and conflict within the family.
In addition to my clinical training, I have pursued advanced education in integrative and functional nutrition. This training enhances my whole-person perspective and my understanding of the interconnected roles of the brain, body, nervous system, lifestyle, and emotional health.
My work draws from EMDR, attachment-based and trauma-informed approaches, nervous-system regulation, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and practical skills tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals.
