Jennifer Schulz Krencicki, LPC
Preferred Name: Jen
About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in practice for 28 years with training and experience in working with loss and trauma. I was trained in a Humanistic, person-centered foundational model and yet have a strong appreciation for the understanding of how neuroscience relates to how our minds work and seek to heal. I believe in the power of Mindset and my approach encompasses trauma treatment with mindfulness and cognitive shifting to promote whole-person Wellness, beyond healing.
Education & Experience
I hold a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Villanova University (1997) and am state licensed in New Jersey since 2002. I began my counseling career working in community and school-based settings and gained a wealth of training and experience in grief and loss counseling and trauma work. Specifically, during 2001-2004, I worked with those affected by the World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorist attacks and as such was immersed in trauma-informed training and clinical development. In 2010 I transitioned to private practice and I currently own and operate a private group mental health practice as well as still maintaining a clinical caseload. I am recently trained as an EMDR therapist, after having experienced the profound value of EMDR firsthand. In addition, I am a Certified Mindfulness teacher which I incorporate in my treatment sessions when relevant.
