About Me
I have a passion for working with those who have experienced trauma(s) and those in the LGBTQ+ community (of which I am proudly a part of). I believe that everyone deserves to heal from their past and live authentically in the present. I previously worked at the Whitman Walker Health Clinic with people of all different backgrounds, especially members of the LGBTQ+ community. I have experience working with people experiencing PTSD, ADHD, depression, and anxiety. I'm specifically trained in EMDR, which is an evidence-based therapy that can help relieve post-traumatic symptoms, and other mental health disorders. EMDR can help you process and release negative emotions, beliefs, and memories that are keeping you stuck and can also help you enhance your positive resources, such as self-esteem, confidence, and resilience. If you are interested in working with me, please reach out to schedule a free 15 minute consultation via email. I look forward to speaking with you so we can determine if we are a good fit!
Education & Experience
I attended The George Washington University for my Masters' in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (22') and Secondary Special Education and Transition Services (18'). I recieved my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Bachelors of Science in Education and Human Development from the University of Miami (14'). I interned at The Whitman Walker Clinic specializing in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community while also getting trained in EMDR at this time. Since then, I have worked in private practice specializing in EMDR, IFS, LGBTQ+ issues, and PTSD.
