Jesse Rappaport, LCSW
About Me
My approach to psychotherapy and training is highly collaborative. I am consistently amazed at the connections, insights, and new perspectives that emerge spontaneously for clients while using EMDR. It is a profound privilege to be a part of this healing process, and I see myself as a facilitator of the client’s own work
Education & Experience
I was trained in 1991 by Dr. Francine Shapiro with the original cohort of EMDR practitioners. I have been a consultant and teacher of EMDR since 1993. I see our families of origin as profoundly formative of who we become as adults. I am very process oriented in my work and incorporate a deep atunement to dreams, narrative therapy, somatic approaches to trauma, and spirituality. I currently meet with clientsalmost exclusively online using Zoom and or Doxy platforms.
