About Me
As your therapist, my goal is to foster a nonjudgmental and authentic environment allowing you to safely explore what is holding you back and find a path towards growth and resilience. Together, we will look at your current situation more in depth and help you overcome the obstacles that cause you to feel so overwhelmed. I believe that as human beings, we have the innate capacity to heal when we are provided with safety and acceptance. By the end of our sessions, you will not only have found relief but you will feel empowered to move forward towards the life you deserve.
Education & Experience
- University of Windsor, Bachelor of Social Work, - Wayne State University, Master of Social Work, -EMDR Basic Training - completed, 2023 - in process of EMDR therapy Certification I have significant training in various treatment modalities including, DBT; CBT, ACT, Ego State, Mindfulness; and Somatic Interventions. With over 30 years of clinical experience, I have had the honour of supporting many individuals who experienced complex trauma, difficult life transitions, grief/loss; chronic illness, depression and anxiety. I have supported many individuals who have struggled with substance use and/or behavioural addictions as a means to cope with their trauma symptoms and/or overwhelming life events.
