Online Therapy

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and am working toward becoming a certified EMDR specialist. My specialties include complex trauma & PTSD, Mood & Personality Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Addiction including pornography and sex addictions, and Depressive Disorders. It is my experience that my clients know themselves better than anyone, and they are there own (and my) best resource when it comes to treatment. I see therapy as a joint venture where knowledge and skills are combined to create solutions, an effective way of achieving your goals, and reaching a healthier and happier life. A good therapeutic relationship includes trust, authenticity, freedom, and positive outcomes. Life can hand us many obstacles to overcome. Having to process trauma from childhood in our adult life can be scary and difficult. Dealing with the trauma of our adult life can be even more difficult. I work with you to help you overcome these challenges. As we work together, we can find ways to be able to help you deal with the most difficult of life's circumstances, provide you with the necessary skills to help you manage your life in the future, and provide you relief from the suffering you have been experiencing.

Education & Experience

I started my journey seeking a law degree and obtained an Associates Degree in Pre-Law and Paralegal Studies. I spent the next 10-years as a paralegal in a family/criminal/litigation law firm. When I felt that it was time to move forward with my law degree I obtained my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Phoenix. While attending there I met a Professor that encouraged me to invest more time into seeking information into my educational pursuits as a mental health professional. I spent a summer doing volunteer work for him at his center and found that I had a special interest, and connection, with individuals who struggled with their mental health. It was at this time that I chose to change career paths and applied to Argosy University's Clinical Mental Health's Master's program. I graduated in 2015. I have had the opportunity to work in RTC, IOP, and currently work in private practice with the general population, First Responders, and Law Enforcement.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

I have a few volunteer affiliations; however, my favorite is working with the local animal rescue/shelter organizations.
