About Me
As the clinical director of Transformation Counselling and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, I offer down-to-earth consultation for therapists looking to improve their EMDR practice. As a personal consultee of Kathy Steele, Frank Corrigan, and Kathleen Martin, I am passionate about understanding the practice implications of dissociation and the intersection of brain, mind, and body. My mission is to help therapists develop competence and confidence in working safely and effectively with their most fragmented clients. As a meditator of 15 years and a former monk in my pre-grad school days, I am also passionate about the clinical applications of mindfulness and the wisdom of the world's enduring spiritual traditions. Finally, I am also a DBT-LBC Certified DBT Clinician and a CACBT Certified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, with additional training in ACT, IFS, and DBR. One of my great joys is to wrestle with how these various therapies intersect with, complement, and challenge each other, and to help other clinicians do the same.
