About Me
As the founder of New Aniibiish, a mental health initiative dedicated to fostering healing and resilience in individuals, families, and communities, I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RSW) and Registered Psychotherapist (CCC) with a strong focus on developmental trauma, complex family systems, and relational healing. My work integrates holistic, client-centred approaches to support those navigating the profound impact of trauma and disrupted attachments. I have extensive experience working with complex family dynamics, particularly in family reunification contexts where trauma, disrupted attachments, and systemic stressors create relational challenges. My approach integrates neuroscience, attachment theory, and somatic-based interventions to help families rebuild trust, connection, and resilience. Beyond clinical work, I am passionate about mental health advocacy, education, and systemic change. I strive to create culturally sensitive, trauma-informed spaces that honour individual and family narratives while empowering communities with the tools to heal and thrive. Healing is a collaborative, transformative journey, and every individual and family can heal and reclaim their well-being when supported with the right tools, understanding, and guidance.
