About Me
I have been practicing EMDR for over four years and have been privileged to assist women and men struggling with anxiety, depression and trauma. I have specialized in assisting women who have experienced reproductive trauma including pregnancy complications, loss, traumatic deliveries and post-partum depression and anxiety. Additionally, I have treated those who have experienced a recent traumatic event such as a car accident, dog attack or bed bug infestation. I really enjoy helping people desensitize their previous trauma to decrease their mental health symptoms, improve their self-esteem, and ultimately be the best version of themselves.
Education & Experience
I graduated with distinction from National University with a masters in Counseling Psychology and an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I worked for Vista Hill for 5 years as a therapist assisting parents who were involved with Child Welfare Services to support them through the reunification process. During this time, I taught positive parenting classes to assist with positive parent-child interactions. I have worked for three various private practices as well as my own as a therapist using EMDR to treat mental health symptoms. I have recently completed my hours to become certified as an EMDR therapist through EMDRIA.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I have been a member of CAMFT and have done pro bono work for clients in need.
