About Me
Karen is a trauma and addiction therapist in private practice specializing in the areas of sex addiction (Karen is a CSAT; Certified Sex Addiction Therapist), betrayal trauma, love addiction, enmeshment, co-dependency, PTSD and trauma. Karen trained with Patrick Carnes at the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals and trained with Pia Mellody completing Post Induction Therapy (PIT). Additionally, Karen is an EMDRIA approved EMDR therapist and an Attachment Focused EMDR therapist trained through the Parnell Institute. Karen is also a Sensorimotor Psychotherapist (SP Level 2) where the body is a central component of talk therapy. Karen works with clients to enhance self-awareness and skill building to help clients' move through life's challenges. In her addiction work, Karen treats not only the behavioral elements but works with client's to identify and resolve underlying trauma which is critical to achieving long term sobriety. Karen works with individuals, couples, and leads several groups.
