About Me
I am a caring, informed, and creative psychotherapist (LCSW-C) bringing my A-game for kids and teens handling things that would overwhelm most adults. I provide therapy in my office in Rockville, MD and online throughout Maryland.
I specialize in psychotherapy for kids and teens suffering from traumatic stress, dissociative, and somatic (including functional neurological) symptoms.
A kid who will benefit from therapy with me may:
- Try really hard to get up everyday and do what is expected of them, but their effort doesn’t seem to be making a difference.
- Feel like their body is operating way outside of their control, at least some of the time.
- Feel confused about their own memories and day-to-day experiences.
- Have big emotional reactions that seem to come out of nowhere.
- Act much younger and/or seem to lose skills or be hard to reach during discrete periods or episodes.

Education & Experience
I opened my private practice in 2026. Before this, I worked for 5 years exclusively with child and teen survivors of child abuse, most often sexual abuse. I came to that work after 4 years working with elementary and middle school students in a school-based mental health program, providing therapy to address a range of concerns, including family violence, bullying, school changes, anxiety, and depression.
I earned my MSW at the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2017. I earned an MA in International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame in 2015. My bachelor's degree is in Sociology and Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University (2011).
Advanced clinical training includes:
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (completed basic training, 2023)
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (certified, 2021)
- Child and Family Traumatic Stress Initiative (rostered, 2021)
