Karen Cloyd, LCPC
(she/her/hers)
About Me
Karen has 20+ years of experience as an outpatient therapist, with extensive training and clinical experience working with trauma survivors and providing crisis support. Karen’s practice is grounded in the belief that a secure space - affirming of varying and overlapping identities, promoting of self-empowerment, and conscious of cultural, structural, and societal factors that influence mental health - is a cornerstone for growth and healing. Compassionate and unconventional, Karen collaborates with clients to create a path toward healing that is unique to their strengths, goals, and lived experience. Using an eclectic approach, Karen tends to lean heavily into trauma-informed psychotherapy/trauma theory, mindfulness, expressive and sensorimotor therapies, and attachment theory. Karen completed EMDR basic training and is working toward EMDR Certification.
