About Me
I have worked for 30 years with many different medical conditions both acute and chronic conditions, the last 20 years in neurological rehabilitation including brain injury, strokes and spinal cord injuries. I provide counseling for individuals with a focus on women’s issues (relationships, stress, trauma, adjustments, transitions, finding balance, self-acceptance, life stresses) and building resiliency and self-compassion practice to better manage life’s challenges. I have a broad knowledge base. I have been trained in EMDR through the EMDR Institute. I also have training in cognitive behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy for insomnia, internal family systems, positive psychology, pain management, stress management and mindfulness.
Education & Experience
I have my Masters in social work and I’m a licensed clinical social worker in Idaho. I received my Masters Degree of Social Work in 1992 from California University of Long Beach. I am certified in brain injury, trauma and DBT (CBIS, C-DBT and CCTP-level 2).
