About Me
I am a currently able-bodied, white, cisgender, US-born woman seeking to hold awareness of my identities and positionality with compassion and accountability. I am also a Clinical Social Worker, underdog city dweller, bird and cat loving Jewish/Buddhist trying to deepen my relationship with the dharma and with the earth, and to hold a healthy balance of reverence and irreverence. Through my newly formed private practice, Future Path Collaborative, I will be providing EMDR therapy, IFS-informed EMDR therapy, and/or mindfulness-based therapy to people seeking healing from trauma. I have a particular interest in serving clients impacted by trauma stemming from their work or experiences related to climate change (ie, climate scientists or journalists, people in environmental fields, climate activists and advocates, and people who have suffered climate related traumatic loss). At this time, I am only providing telehealth therapy. You can learn more about my practice at www.futurepathcollaborative.com
Education & Experience
I spent the last eight years in college mental health as a trauma specialist and coordinator of trauma-focused counseling services (first at the US Naval Academy and until recently at the Johns Hopkins University) and prior to that I worked for three years in Baltimore’s social service agency for survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and interpersonal violence. I also have pre-licensure clinical experience from Sheppard Pratt's Trauma Disorders Inpatient unit. My MSW is from Smith College School for Social Work and my bachelor's degree is from Harvard, where I concentrated in Russian History and Literature.
