About Me
I work with adults having problems with relationships, grief, anxiety, and depression as well as life transitions. Past trauma and issues from childhood underscore these present coping difficulties. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, with certification as a spiritually integrated psychotherapist. My clients are from diverse cultures, values, religious or spiritual orientations. I am client-centered and value the individuality and dignity of each client. I welcome prospective clients to reach out to discuss their particular concerns.
Education & Experience
First, I trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy through a clinical residency. Later, I trained in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy (CBT) through affiliations with mental health clinics and state facilities. I am certified in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) with ACPE and am an authorized SIP trainer. I am certified with EMDRIA to conduct EMDR therapy. I am also ordained and have worked in hospitals, rehab centers, hospice but especially psychiatric facilities.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I serve as the team leader for an all-volunteer remote support service, RUACH: Emotional and Spiritual Support. I am a member of Open Path. EMDRIA NASW NYSMHCA ACPE-SIP Neshamah: Jewish Chaplaincy Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association
