Karlee B. Davis, LICSW

About Me

Karlee Davis specializes in working with clients coping with various aspects of trauma such as recent traumatic events, chronic traumatic stress, or abuse. Karlee has specific interest, experience, and advanced training in working with first responders. The need for culturally competent professional support for first responders became increasingly obvious to her since her start in private practice in 2007. She believes these individuals are often under-appreciated and misunderstood within our society and envisions a practice where competent trauma treatment can alter the quality of life for public safety professionals and their families. She uses an integrative treatment approach to help clients with depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, and other life challenges. Karlee aims to tailor counseling for each individual. For clients desiring Christian counseling, she incorporates biblical principles and beliefs. “The therapeutic relationship is a key component to the counseling process, and I strive to promote a comfortable presence to facilitate the client's goals.” Commitment to a healthy working relationship allows Karlee to meet both individuals and families where they are in their present circumstances, as well as provide a safe environment conducive to growth and renewal. “With every new client I meet, I am humbled by the opportunity to know their story and bear witness to their deepest hurts and greatest victories.” She recognizes making the decision to start therapy can sometimes be uncomfortable, and she promotes a welcoming, confidential counseling experience. Karlee Davis received her Master of Social Work degree from West Virginia University in 2007. She founded Begin Counseling in 2023.
