About Me
Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) and EMDR Certified Therapist who operates my own telehealth & consultation service business, KD Collaborations. In the private practice side of my work, I serve as a trauma therapist who specializes in supporting adolescent and adult clients seeking to address symptoms of personal & cultural traumas (namely anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, as well as attachment & adjustment challenges, and navigating periods of grief & loss). I also have subspecialties in supporting members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities (particularly those who are transgender, non-binary, genderfluid, and/or genderqueer), and have dedicated training in the areas of substance use, and disordered eating/body image work. While EMDR is a primary framework and method I use with nearly all my clients, my clinical style is also rooted in the lenses of human rights, social justice, systems theory, as well as trauma and attachment-responsive frameworks; and prioritizes anti-oppressive, collaborative, strengths-based, and solutions-focused approaches.
Education & Experience
-B.A. in Psychology, with a minor in Philosophy, from Clark University (2010) -M.S.W from the University of Vermont (2017) -EMDR-trained (Parts 1 and 2) completed in March 2019. Scheduled to completed EMDR Certification in early 2023. -EMDR Member since 2022
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
In addition to my private practice and consulting business, I am also a volunteer with the Vermont Trauma Response Network (VT TRN) where fellow EMDR colleagues and I are available to provide short-term, free therapy for survivors of acute traumatic events.
