In 2001, I moved to Florida to attend the University of North Florida. I earned my master's degree in 2006, and became a licensed mental health counselor in 2009. Having practiced since 2005, I primarily focused on correctional mental health. In 2012, I became a Qualified Supervisor to help others become licensed. Over the years, my primary focus has been trauma, teen-related issues, and cognitive behavior therapy, I was a certified clinical trauma counselor, have been trained in Brainspotting, Phase 1 and am now an EMDRIA-approved Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained practitioner and began the certification process in 2023.
