Katherine McDaniel, LPC

Preferred Name: Katy

About Me

I specialize in working with anxiety, including generalized anxiety and panic attacks, as well as trauma, grief and loss, attachment wounds, family of origin dynamics, and relationship concerns, including the lasting impact of early loss on individual and family systems. I also address how emotional distress manifests in the body, including chronic tension, pain, and stress related symptoms. My work is grounded in treating attachment based complex trauma shaped by early loss, often expressed through anxiety, relational distress, somatic symptoms, and identity disruption. I help clients understand how psychological disturbance shapes self worth, emotional expression, and relational connection by exploring its origins and ongoing influence. This process supports reprocessing of maladaptive experiences and integrative healing that restores vitality while reconnecting clients with creativity, passion, and inherent potential.
