About Me
When you no longer feel like yourself and can't seem to figure it out on your own, I am here to support you in finding direction and solutions. I am a registered social worker and psychotherapist specializing in grief, loss and trauma. We have all experienced situations that have negatively impacted us. These traumatic or troubling events don't necessarily equate to Post-traumatic stress disorder but still deserve attention. I've been in the social work field for over 20 years and have worked in a variety of settings including mental health first response with police services. I provide therapy to youth/adults and understand the unique experiences, challenges and systemic issues faced by first responders. Talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Phototherapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) are just a few of the modalities used to help you start feeling like yourself again. Sometimes we just need a neutral party with a listening ear to validate our feelings and experiences. I offer a flexible schedule to accommodate your needs. You can call me directly to book an appointment or to inquire further about the counselling process.
